Been-A-Boob®

Breast Protheses logoYou have more choices than you think. Why not try the Been-A-Boob?

The Been-A-Boob® is a unique breast prosthesis / breast form which is made of soft fabric with a special filling which imitates a natural breast. It is lightweight, comfortable and cool. It will fit into any regular mastectomy bra, swimsuit, and janac sport tops. After surgery many women find their chest area is uneven. The Been-A-Boob®breast form will fill in those areas and help to make them look like they did before their surgery. Thus, whether you are running a marathon, participating in an exercise class, or working around the house, nobody will know you are wearing a prosthesis.

PLEASE NOTE: OUR SIZES ARE GENERALLY 2 SIZES BELOW THE SILICONE PROSTHESES, THEREFORE, IF YOU ARE WEARING A SIZE 8 SILICONE, THEN OUR SIZE 6 WILL PROBABLY BE THE EQUIVALENT. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUR FITTING GUIDE FOR THE CORRECT SIZE TO ORDER, OR CONTACT US FOR HELP.

Pocketed Bras –  Sports bras / Leisure

This is a special garment made for all active women, who have either had breast surgery or have one breast larger than the other. It provides excellent support for breasts of all sizes, while doing moderate exercise. janac launched the original sports bra “Aggie” and after much success has added 4 styles; “Dinah”, “Anna”, “Sue” and “Loraine”.

The special sports bra pockets were originally used to hold the Been-A-Boob® prosthesis only, but we have found lots of new uses. Ever wonder where to put your gym locker key, money, Kleenex or security pass? Use the existing pockets in the sports bra to carry what you need!

Who is it for?
The janac sports bra is for any woman of any size and is targeted for women who have had breast surgery that has resulted in a removed breast or has made the breast uneven in size, and need a prosthesis to provide extra support or cosmetic improvement. The janac sports bra is so comfortable it can be worn any time. You can wear it while exercising, or while doing other activities such as gardening, housework, or just relaxing.

How does it work?
Regular sports bras are made for women who have two breasts, so that if you try and put a prosthesis in them it will move around and look out of place. The construction of the janac sports bra solves this problem. Special pockets for containing a prosthesis are built into the design of the bra. Combined with a prosthesis (we suggest the Been-A-Boob® , which is sold separately) you can have a new lease on life.

Summary

  • The material allows for maximum breathability and comfort
  • Integrated pockets for maximum accessibility
  • Dries quickly, even on the body
